Resources to Build Your Search

A successful job search involves developing relationships, understanding your opportunities, and defining yourself as you meet with the stakeholders that help you find your next career.

Here are some of the resources that Career Prospectors encourages you to explore.

Weekly meetings cover different topics that include some of these resources. We encourage you to come join us and begin to build your network!

Marketing yourself with a Job Search Plan!

Rather than rely on a resume or a business card to make yourself, prepare to engage people in your career interests with a marketing plan.

A job search plan should have the following qualities:

  • Who you are
  • Summary of what you’ve done (your professional profile)
  • Summary of your interests and what work you like
  • Bullet your skills
  • Identify your target industries, organizations and locations
  •  Where’s you’ve worked
  •  Where you’ve volunteered
